Electric vehicles (EVs) are gradually gaining traction in Pakistan as part of the global shift towards cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions in transportation. The government has introduced policies and incentives to promote EV adoption, including tax exemptions and subsidies on EV imports, alongside plans to develop charging infrastructure nationwide. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, higher upfront costs, and a lack of consumer awareness remain barriers to widespread EV adoption. With ongoing efforts, Pakistan aims to reduce its carbon footprint and embrace electric mobility for a greener future.
