Studies also show that doing 30 to 35 minutes of yoga every morning, can give you a fresh kick start on your day and it also lightens your mood. It is also beneficial in increasing your patience which can be favorable in your interpersonal relationships, as you will be able to deal with your clients or people in general, calmly and intelligently, as yoga also claims to stimulate your nervous system.
In this article, I have come up with a few power yoga poses, which are highly useful for reducing your belly fat and your weight in general, and it also plays a vital role in self-healing.
Power Yoga for Weight Loss:
Virabhadrasana ( Warrior Pose)

It aids in building up our arms, legs, shoulders, and ankles. It also enhances our stability and balance. And it also energizes our bodies. The longer we hold this pose, the dense our quads will get. It is beneficial for reducing belly fat as well.
Step to perform this pose:
- While breathing deeply, keep your legs 4 to 5 feet apart from each other.
- Bring both of your hands above your head, and join both of your palms.
- Now slowly move your right foot forwards, 90 degrees to the right.
- Now slowly turn your left foot inwards 40 to 60 degrees to your right.
- The arch of both of your heels must be aligned with each other.
- Now move your upper body to your right, while keeping your arms straight.
- Now slowly bend your right knee forward.
- You will now feel a stretch in your left leg.
- Now look up and your face should be facing your palms.
- Now remain in this position for a few seconds, before going back to your initial posture.
- Now repeat this pose, with your left leg forward and your left knee bend forward.
Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Dog Pose)

It is an excellent pose for your mind, as it calms your mind and it also helps in diminishing your stress. It also benefits in boosting up your body and tighten your arms and leg. It is also said that this pose helps in relieving the symptoms of menopause.
Steps to perform this pose:
- Stand straight on the ground, while breathing deeply.
- Now slowly bend your upper body downward, with your hands pressing on the ground.
- Make sure that your knees are not pressing into the ground.
- And try to keep both of your legs straight and steady.
- Your body should be forming a V.
- Now try to sustain this pose for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Repeat this pose for 7 to 9 times, with 1o seconds break between each attempt.
Sarwangasana (Shoulder Stand)
It helps to enhance the digestive system. it is extremely useful for asthma, sinusitis, and infertility. It tightens your shoulder and neck, and tone your legs and buttocks. Like the previous pose, Sarwangasana is also beneficial for your mind as it calms it and also helps in diminishing your stress.

Steps to perform this pose:
- Firstly, lay straight on the floor, on your back.
- Steady your breath and bring your knees towards your chest.
- Now slowly try to bring your feet up over your head and let your toes touch the ground.
- Now place both of your hands on either side of your spines to steady yourself. Let your knees touch your forehead.
- Now slowly with placing the weight on your upper arms, try to lift your legs up into the air.
- Try to hold this pose for few seconds before relaxing again.
Power Yoga for Belly Fat:
Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Bend)

it is excellent for calming our mind and releasing stress. The stretch you will feel in your spine and shoulders will strengthen your muscles. It also aids in improving our process of digestion. It also restores our kidney and liver. And it is beneficial for women as it restores your ovaries and uterus. It also helps in soothing your menstrual discomfort. Paschimottansana regulates our blood flow, which aids in stimulating our organs.
Steps to perform this pose:
- Sit on the ground in the Padmasana position.
- Make sure that your spine is straight, and your legs are stretched in front of you.
- Now slowly lift your hand above your head, your eyes should be fixed on your lifted hands.
- You will now feel a slight stretch in your spine, now slowly bend forward, your hands should be touching your toes, and your forehead should be touching your knees.
- Remain in this position for a few seconds, feel a stretch in your thighs and tailbone. Then come back into Padmasana
Dhanurasana (Bow Pose)

It helps in improving your posture and reviving your organs around the abdomen and neck. It also tightens your back muscles.
Steps to perform the pose:
- Lie flat on your stomach on the ground with your arms on either side of your torso.
- Bending your knees that your toes be touching your buttocks.
- Clasp your toes with the aid of your hands.
- Slowly lift your heels up along with your thighs.
- By pulling your thighs up, your upper body will also lift up from the ground.
- Your stomach pressed against the ground, inhaling and exhaling would be a bit difficult, but do not stop breathing.
- Stay in this pose for approximately 20 to 30 seconds before relaxing.
